This document was produced after hours of experimentation with BulkRate.
I cannot take credit for the techniques listed here as someone else posted them to Planet BMUG. However I also cannot give credit where it is due as I did not keep copies of the messages that gave me this information.
1). Log onto Planet BMUG using 1st Class.
2). Create a new folder on the Planet's desktop window. You can name it from within the Get Info box that is accessible via one of the menu commands.
3). Select a conference you are interested in, make an alias of that conference.
4). Place the alias in the new folder. Repeat, you may wish to only do a few at first to experiment with and to prevent an excessively long BR session at the beginning.
5). Disconnect and quit 1st Class.
6). Launch BulkRate.
7). Underthe settings menu select Host Settings, in Host Swettings select More Host Settings.
8). In "Conferences can be found in" add the following:
Home:<name of new folder>
{Note: no space before or after :
9). Exchange mail. You are now up & running.
Tips before running BR and while logged in with 1st Class open the aliases and option click on those topics of no interest. This will reduce the amount of mail BR has to deal with and save you some time. It will also give you an idea of those conferences with a large amount of traffic.
